MOUNTAIN B-BALL JAM FEST RULES
  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your game time
  • 10-minute forfeit time
  • No jewelry can be worn during game time.
  • Team listed first is considered HOME team and should wear light colored jersey
  • 5 Personal Fouls
  • 1 and 1 on 10th foul of each half
  • 2 shot double bonus on the 12th foul
  • 1: full timeout and 1: 30 second timeout per half
  • 1st half timeouts don’t carry over
  • 3-minute overtime (2minutes for second overtime, 1 minute for third overtime, sudden death – free-throws on fourth overtime)
  • 1 full timeout (For Overtime)
  • Halftime 2 minutes
  • 16 minute halves for 9th – 12th Graders, STOPPED CLOCK
  • 14 minute halves for 4th – 8th Graders, STOPPED CLOCK
  • Coaches are responsible for team’s behavior
  • No dunking during warm ups
  • No fighting- automatic ejection and suspension from the tournament (no exceptions).
  • If your team is down by 20 points with 3 minutes left in the second half the clock will keep running.
  • Pressing: Full court pressing is allowed, however, there should be no pressing if a team is 20+points ahead.
  • NCAA Style Play – Everyone makes playoffs (Sunday)
  • It is highly recommended if you coach more than one team to have an assistant for Sunday Playoffs in case of game overlaps.
  • Pool Play Tiebreaker Procedures
  • 1) If 2 teams are tied within the pool; head-to-head competition between the teams determines the winner.
  • 2) If 2 or more teams are tied or Rule #1 does not determine the winner, a point differential tiebreaker will be applied. The maximum amount of points you can win or lose by is 15. In the case of a forfeit the score will be 15-0.
  • 3) If the 15 point rule results in a tie, then we go back to head to head. The final tiebreaker is least total points allowed.​
  • The Tournament Director has the right to alter rules, bylaws and bracket structure as needed.
  • Should any team, player(s) or coach be disqualified from tournament play, there will be no refunds.
  • Team roster is limited to 12 players. A teams roster becomes official and frozen at the end of the teams 1st game. All players shall play for only ONE team.
  • Failure to abide by this rule can result in a disqualification.
  • All teams must wear Team “jerseys” during their games. Each jersey must have the same color and they must have numbers.
  • This is a Drug and Alcohol Free Event. No alcoholic beverages or drugs are allowed on the premises. Any coach, player(s) or spectator engaged in the use of alcohol or drugs will be prohibited from further participation in the tournament.
